Gifts for Cornish Cat Lovers. The Cornish Rex Cat has virtually no hair except for fine down hair. Their genetic mutation is different from the Devon Rex Cat has created a curl in their fur as well. The Cornish Rex Cat comes in a variety of coat colors and patterns and originated from a litter of kittens born in the 1950s on a farm in Cornwall, United Kingdom. Kallibunker, one of the kittens, was then backcrossed with his mother to produce two other curly-coated kittens. From that litter, Poldhu then sired a female cat called Lamona Cove which was brought to the United States and bred with a Siamese which gave it a long whippy tail and large ears.
